About Angling Spirit

Angling Spirit is the operating company which owns, organises and stages international events and environmental initiatives. Angling Spirit has created a marketing & promotional platform where the company can highlight and showcase important information on its events and involvement in other areas.

The ethos of Angling Spirit is to promote angling in a responsible manner; to organise and stage events with the betterment of angling as our focus. Our aim is to make a difference, responsibly, and we are very well aware of the fact that our status, not only in respect of the angling world but in the eyes of the general public, places a significant onus upon us to ensure that angling is looked upon in a favorable light.

In line with this ethos, Angling Spirit will continue to be environmentally responsible and our events will be staged accordingly. Angling Spirit is synonymous with best practice angling and sportsmanship, and our event rules will at all times uphold the true spirit of international competition.

We are proud of the events that we have established and the high benchmarks they have set.

The World Carp Classic was established in 1998 and has become the biggest, most prestigious and popular carp angling event in the world. Perhaps of equal importance to us, it has become known affectionately throughout the carping community as being far more than an angling competition. Uniquely, it is endorsed by many to be a celebration of angling with an amazing festival atmosphere. That is something that we can all be justifiably proud of.

After extensive research and to compliment the World Carp Classic we have established the World Predator Classic.

The Netherlands have been awarded the host nation status for the period 2014-2016.World Predator Classic will be staged in and around the historic town of Hellevoetsluis . Hellevoetsluis is conveniently located 25 minutes from Rotterdam airport with the vast 11,663 hectare water of Haringvliet stretching a massive 1/3 of the width of the Netherlands being used for the competition.

Run annually, the World Predator Classic will be fished from boats creating high-speed, action-packed, interactive media friendly broadcast productions. Cutting edge technology will be used to stream the action live directly from the boats during the event. A professional team will provide commentary exactly like in the Formula 1 races. The successful & proven model that angling spirit has developed will be used to expand and grow this event with the aim and vision of making it the premier global predator fishing competition.

We set ourselves very high standards and we work very hard and intelligently to achieve our goals
