    Angling Spirit and its community pledge to contribute towards leaving a better world for future generations. There is no obligation for WSF23 participants to take part.
    WSF shoreline cleanup is being introduced as a voluntary initiative. If you decide to participate in it kindly fill out the WSF Shoreline Cleanup Form for a chance to win a Lowrance castable device.

  • DISCLAIMER

  • “Event Organiser” means Angling Spirit
  • “Event” means the Event specified in this registration form.
  • “registration and disclaimer form” means this registration and disclaimer form, which must be completed in order to participate in the Event.
  • By registering for the Event, I understand and agree that I will be participating in the Event entirely at my own risk and neither the Event Organiser nor the Event sponsors or any other person or company involved in the organisation of the Event shall be responsible for any injuries, accidents, loss or damages suffered in, or by reason of, the Event, however such may be caused.
  • I confirm that I am physically fit and able to participate in the Event; I am in good health, and I am unaware of any medical or psychological condition which might make my participation inadvisable. I also confirm that I have no pre-existing physical limitation or condition which may be aggravated or harmed by my participation in the Event.
  • I confirm that if I begin to develop any medical or psychological condition that might make my participation in the Event inadvisable after the Event has begun, I will withdraw immediately from the Event without liability to the Event Organiser or anyone else involved in the organisation of the Event.
  • I acknowledge that my participation in the Event may carry with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken by the Event Organisers and accordingly I hereby release, forever discharge and covenant not to sue the Event Organiser, their owners, managers, members, employees, partners, sponsors, volunteers, agents, advisors, contractors, consultants, legal advisers, accountants and insurers (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability from all claims, actions, suits or other proceedings resulting in personal injury, including death, accident, illness or property damage, I may suffer or sustain, regardless of fault, arising from or in connection with, my participation in the Event, the equipment used during the Event (whether provided by the Event Organiser, a third party or myself) and the facilities where the Event was located.
  • I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge and agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorneys fees, brought as a result of my participation in the Event.
  • If any part, paragraph, sentence or clause of this registration and disclaimer is not enforceable, the affected provision shall be curtailed and limited to the extent necessary to bring it in within the requirements of the law, and the remainder of this registration and disclaimer shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Affirmation of release: I knowingly intend my signature on this registration and disclaimer to be a complete defence to any legal or equitable proceeding that may be brought by me, or any person on their own or on my own behalf, for any personal injury, including death, accident, illness or property damage, including theft, I may suffer or sustain as a result of my voluntary participation in the Event, and further intend this registration and disclaimer to be a complete and total release of liability for all negligent acts, failure to act, or breaches of duty owed to me, which result in my personal injury, accident, illness and/or property loss as a result of my participation in the Event, the equipment used during the Event (whether provided by the Event Organiser, a third party or myself) and the facilities where the activity occurred and to reimburse the Released Parties in full for any such expenses incurred.
  • Nothing in this registration and disclaimer limits or excludes our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • I understand it is my sole responsibility to have valid and adequate Personal Public Liability insurance from a reputable provider covering me for taking part in a fishing competition for the whole duration of the Event against the risk of personal injury to myself, or causing personal injury to a third party. I agree to provide evidence of all such insurance upon request from the Event Organiser.
  • If I am the Captain or lead organiser of a group, I will ensure that each and every participants sign an individual Disclaimer form and supplies the required insurance documentation to me and are aware of any insurance matters.
  • I understand that, if I (or any member of my party) fails to follow the event rules which are available on the event website or instructions of the Event Organiser or any Event marshal or fail to comply with any of the obligations set out in the registration and disclaimer or otherwise conduct myself in a way that may cause injury to myself or others or I act in way which could be deemed offensive am abusive to other participants, the event staff or spectators (“Break the Rules”): I will be disqualified and excluded from the Event without refund; and I will indemnify and hold harmless the Event and the Event Organisers from and against any and all liability that either or both of them may incur by reason of my breaking the Rules.
  • I agree and accept that the decision of the Head Marshal or local authorities in respect of any dispute or infraction of local laws is final in all circumstances.
  • I certify that I have read and understood the contents of this registration and disclaimer, and that it is my intention by signing this form that it is binding not only upon me but also upon my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns.
  • COVID-19

    • There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. Therefore by attending World Street Fishing, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Help keep each other healthy.
